Immerse yourself in the world of trolls! Inspired by Vashon’s newest resident, Oscar, the Bird King, we are offering a week of sheer troll fun. Hear the stories that shape troll mythology; play troll games; design your own legend, a felted troll, and a birdhouse fit for a King. The camp includes a field trip to visit Oscar, the Bird King on Maury island. Oscar is one of over 100 trolls designed and built by Danish artist Thomas Dambo. Dambo’s trolls are all over the world, all built with recycled materials, and with the joy of making art out of trash. Oscar sits on a throne surrounded by birdhouses and after this camp you will go home with lots of troll inspiration and a birdhouse for your throne.
