Vashon’s Annual Daughters Dance — An Island Favorite is BACK! After a couple years long hiatus brought on by the COVID pandemic, Vashon’s time-honored tradition of celebrating our daughters The thirteenth-annual Daughters Dance will take place at the Vashon Center for the Arts on Saturday May 18th, 2024. Inspired by the recent Oscars, the theme for this year’s dance is Starry Night. In keeping with tradition, dress will be semi-formal — a chance for Island Daughters, their dad, parent, or guardian to show off their fanciest runway attire. The dance will take place from 7 - 9:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center. An optional dinner will be held before the dance, starting at 5:30 p.m. The dinner will be served buffet style with a vegetarian option available. Music selections will be handpicked by an expert committee of island daughters. Song requests during the event are always welcome. Desserts and drinks will be provided, along with a complimentary professional photograph to memorialize this star-filled night. We have limited seats available for the dinner and limited tickets available for the dance, and an early sell-out is expected again this year. Tickets for the dinner must be purchased at least 7 days in advance to ensure an accurate place count.
