Albiani Art History Talk on Owls in Art

Sunday, Jan 12 at 2pm
$25 General
$22 Senior
Youth (18-) FREE (must reserve ticket)

In classical antiquity, owls were a symbol of Athena and her wisdom, but Goya used owls to represent darkness and nightmare, and Hieronymus Bosch's owls defy categorization. From Ancient Greek coins to Picasso and Miro, these striking nocturnal raptors have played multifarious roles in the history of art.
