Join Caroline Rockey for this outdoor camp with COVID-safe protocols in place. Learn to create self-portraits in the style of a different famous artist each day—Frida Kahlo, Henri Matisse and Alice Bailey. Utilizing mediums such as oil pastel, charcoal and acrylic, students will explore each artist’s technique, use of color, shape, patterns and medium.
Our Daily Schedule:
•Each day will begin at our welcome station--complete with gel sanitizer, name tags and a check to make sure students’ masks are tied comfortably. Then we’ll move into intro conversations and warm up activities.
•The rhythm of each day will include hands-on creative activities for learning technique, exploring materials and illustrating with step-by-step instructions. In between focused activities, there will be relaxed time to step back, share with one another and ask questions.
•Days will end with sharing, clean-up together and any instructions for the following day.
