Instructor: Annie Brule

Join this online class to build your outdoor sketching skills, bringing specimens inside for a closer study. Learn elements of a botanical drawing and also how to nurture a practice of drawing from life in the garden, on the trail and in the woods. Students will explore a range of exercises for fine-tuning senses and techniques for different ways of seeing and drawing. Annie Brulé illustrates the natural world seasonally, focusing on the indigenous ecosystems and species of the Salish Sea. She works with Indigenous educators to write, design, and illustrate ecological teaching tools, for children through adults.
