Strict adherence to the VCA Patron Protocol is required for in-person attendance to events and performances held in the Kay White Hall auditorium.

Over 40 years in the making, four of Seattle's finest will come together at the Kay White Hall to reunite for an evening of stellar jazz.

The Reunion Quartet is comprised of John Stowell on guitar, Jay Thomas on sax and trumpet/flugelhorn, John Bishop on drums (all three Earshot Jazz Hall Of Famers), brought together by bassist Bruce Phares, celebrating over 40 years of history.

Internationally acclaimed jazz guitarist John Stowell has of the most unique voices on the guitar, featured on scores of recordings in both the US and Europe, beginning with his ground-breaking duet albums with bassist David Friesen. Origin Jazz Records co-founder John Bishop has recorded and toured as drummer with dozens of international voices in jazz, including the groundbreaking Hal Galper Trio. Seattle jazz legend Jay Thomas, educator, mentor, recording artist, and author, is one of the most prolific jazz artists from this region, who has helped forward the artistic careers of countless NW region musicians. Bruce Phares, perhaps best known for his 4-decade duet-relationship with legendary pianist Overton Berry, along with other renowned jazz greats including the great Dianne Schuur, Larry Coryell, Roland Hannah, Frank Wess, George Cables, Bruce Forman, Charlie Bird, Ernestine Anderson, etc., in his years as a first-call bassist for Jazz Alley's star headliners in the past. He and his wife now reside on Maury Island, and Bruce proudly embraces his status as "Newbie", hoping to create new friendships here, adding value to this/these beautiful island(s).
