This is not a class. Original Works auditions have already begun. You can register if you have already been accepted into the show.

Original Works is a performance platform intended to be used by all VCA Dance and Vashon Dance Academy students and other choreographers and performers in the community to showcase original choreography/work of their own. We are asking that dancers of a level 4 and above, or strong dance background/experience, audition. We encourage the use of musicians, and added talents like spoken word, or visual design in the show and/or with choreography. We hope that choreographers stretch their creative selves and network with the other talent on the island to create a collection of unique pieces. This is what makes this show so special and a joy to watch, you don’t know what to expect next. Hip hop, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, contemporary, and ballet are all showcased in this production.

VCA charges a one time performance fee of $50 for each performer in all groups . This helps support the time for panel reviews, coaching sessions, costume support, tech support, studio rehearsal reservations, and production costs of the facility. Registration is online at
