$20 General $18 Member Youth (18-) FREE Brazilian pianist and composer Jovino Santos Neto will talk about his experience as a biologist and a musician, connecting musical concepts of harmony, melody and rhythm with the basic structure of living beings, using trees as specific examples. Music is invisible, but the relationships between notes and rhythms follow the same basic patterns that shape everything in the Universe, from black holes to the form of our DNA.Using images of trees as starting points, Jovino will present his ideas in a simple and accessible language, sharing musical examples and stories.
